ChalkBuddy® started with a very simple problem: gymnasts use chalk, and loose or unprotected chalk has a habit of turning a clean gym bag into a white cloud.
Our original ChalkBuddy created a dedicated home for a standard chalk block. Then we started asking a different question: how small could we make the idea while keeping it genuinely useful?
Meet ChalkBuddy® Mini
ChalkBuddy® Mini is our compact chalk holder created for Gymatics® Mini Chalk Blocks.
It keeps the same purpose as the original: protect the chalk, keep it organised and make it easy to carry. The difference is the footprint.
Why make a smaller version?
Gymnasts carry a surprising amount of kit. Grips, wristbands, tape, snacks, water, clothing and competition essentials all compete for space. We wanted a chalk option that could live permanently in a smaller pocket or compact training bag.
Mini also gives younger gymnasts and anyone who prefers a smaller setup another way to carry chalk without needing a full-size block.
Designed around the chalk, not just shrunk down
Making a smaller product sounds easy until every millimetre matters. A useful mini version still needs to protect the chalk, feel comfortable in the hand and work repeatedly as part of real training life.
That development process is very Gymatics: prototype, test, adjust, print again and keep refining until the product feels like it belongs alongside the rest of the Buddy® family.
Made by Gymatics
ChalkBuddy Mini is part of our growing range of gymnastics products designed and made by Gymatics in Wales. We build around problems we see in gymnastics rather than starting with a generic product and adding a gymnastics label afterwards.

Small but mighty
